The Cooks of El Impenetrable Network invites you to take part in a unique experience that highlights the tradition and ancestral flavors of the region.
Neighbors of the national park are trained to revalue local cuisine, using native fruits such as ucle, mistol, chañar, and white carob. In this way, they preserve culinary tradition and promote the economic development of their communities.
The program brings together over 15 cooks from the villages of Nueva Poblacion and La Armonia, who prepare dishes that reflect the identity of El Impenetrable and tell stories of their land.
Regional gastronomy plays a key role in nature tourism because it adds cultural and economic value to the visitor experience while strengthening local identity. It is a bridge between nature and culture that completes the experience of a journey focused on wildlife, landscapes, and communities.
Tying the consumption of scrubland products—such as flours, honeys, or native fruits—to their conservation creates economic incentives to protect the ecosystem.
