    The art of loom weaving

Criollo loom weaving is an ancestral practice, transmitted from one generation to the next, that was born alongside livestock husbandry. Historically, the women of the house wove saddle blankets, saddle pads, and saddlebags; today, those same techniques are transformed into unique designer pieces that are sold across the country. Thus, artisanal traditions interlace with urban fashion, giving life to creations that combine history, identity, and contemporary style.

    WOOD

Explore our collection of unique pieces

The men of the community practice woodworking to make utensils and carvings of native animals such as jaguars, anteaters, tapirs, and armadillos. They gather fallen wood from white carob, palo cruz, palo santo, or guayaibi trees, without needing to chop them down, contributing to keeping the scrubland standing and giving life to its natural resources.

    Wood Handicrafts

In the rural communities of El Impenetrable, the creation of wood pieces was an everyday practice for the home. Today, some artisans are recovering that ancestral knowledge to create unique objects out of naturally fallen wood in the Chacoan Monte. This is a sustainable alternative that preserves the forest and gives new life to its resources.
